What is holding you back from something more than just “okay”?

It can be hard to find time for ourselves when we are already so busy with our everyday responsibilities.

This state can be especially draining when you are a parent or some kind of caregiver, someone that people rely on for support.

You might have self-imposed restrictions, only allowing yourself the bare minimum needed to survive and then pouring every last drop of your time, energy, and attention in other people’s cups, trying to make sure they have a full cup. This inevitably leads to burnout—you’ve been ignoring your needs for so long, your body takes over and forces you to rest.

Like they always say in those airplane safety videos, you need to put your own mask on before you help others. It isn’t selfish to take care of yourself—in fact, practicing self-compassion is a vital component of being able to take care of others. We often confuse our needs with our obligations, and this misunderstanding often leads us to neglect our hobbies and passions.

Your happiness is not an indulgence.

Still, when you’re so used to surviving, hoping for and pursuing the ideal can feel foreign. We expect disappointment, but that itself becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

You have everything you need to start living the life that you desire, and, at the same time, it’s okay for you to ask for some support and guidance.

As an intuitive coach, my role is to not only help you find the words to describe your ideal life, but to also give you the tools and resources you need to make your dreams a reality. In your first Choosing Joy coaching session, I will help you to reflect on and identify the biggest, most meaningful areas in your life using socratic questioning and a tarot reading. Then, I’ll show you how to define concrete goals, and we’ll create an action plan of what you need to do in order to succeed.

You aren’t going to leave with a plan that looks nice on paper but is totally incompatible with your current lifestyle. I’m not here to tell you which skills and strategies are going to work for you—I’m just here to show you some options and help you test out the ones that make sense for your situation.
